beginner.Little to no keyboards skills are 
required.This course is design familiarize
the student with the keyboard layout and
design by identifying and understanding all
the notes on any keyboard instrument while
mastering hand coordination,providing the
necessary skills to be proficient in any
of the courses offered at GMU.

  •   Learn to name and identify all the
            notes on the keyboard
  •   Understand how to read the
            notation on the treble clef,and bass
            clef and play simple melodies on the
            grand staff
  •   Lean the finger number system for
            better technique
  •   Play Warm-up exercise for both
            hands for finger independence and
            dexterity
  •   Understand and play simple
            melodies over a bass line for hand
            independence
  •   Identify the black keys and
            recognize the sharps and flats
  •   Understand note values and
            durations and rests
  •   Get the necessary skills required to
            proceed to the next level
